本次项目位于武汉市青岛路10号的百年工业遗址平和打包厂，现为市级文物保护单位和20世纪建筑遗产。
This project is located at Liddell Brothers & Co., Ltd., No.10 Qingdao Road, Wuhan, a century-old industrial heritage site. It’s now a municipal-level protected cultural relic and a 20th-century architectural heritage.
项目地点
平和打包厂：属前现代式建筑，1905年建成，由汉协盛营造厂施工，有钢混凝主大楼一栋。建筑采用钢筋混凝土框架结构，楼板整体现浇。立面使用圆券，处迎简洁，枪口处有较精致的装饰线脚。平和打包厂是英国人在议口开设最早的棉花打包厂之一，也是武汉市较早的多层工业建筑。
Liddell Brothers & Co., Ltd.: This pre-modern building was completed in 1905 by Hanxiesheng Construction Factory, and has a main building featuring a reinforced concrete structure. It adopts a reinforced concrete frame structure and cast-in-place flooring. The facade uses rounded arches, with clean lines at the entrance and delicate decorative details at the openings. Liddell Brothers & Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest cotton packaging factories established by the British in Hankou and one of the city’s first multistory industrial buildings.
基地位于和平打包厂的一层弧形转角空间。是多条道路的交汇口。空间内部留有原始的八根承重柱体，和多个立面开窗。
The project site is located in the curved corner space on the first floor of the factory, an intersection for several roads. The interior retains eight original load-bearing columns and multiple windows along the facade.

我们受品牌Queenie Rose的委托对这个空间进行改造设计，旨在打造一处品鉴巧克力与餐酒的综合体验空间。在这个百年旧厂空间中构建出新的故事和社交场景。
The brand Queenie Rose commissioned us to transform this space into a comprehensive experience space for tasting chocolate and wines, aiming to create a new story and social scene within this century-old factory.
延续历史的解构
Extend Deconstruction of History
面对这样一座文化保护建筑，我们优先考察了整个历史街区与周围的建筑界面。从中找到了本次设计的观点与方向。
Faced with the cultural building, we first examined the entire historical district and its surrounding architectural interface, which helped us set the design concept and direction.
青岛路片历史文化街区形成于19世纪下半叶，位于汉口最早建设的租界地–英租界，是近代中国7个英租界之一。街区南起南京路，北至天津路，西至胜利街，东到沿江大道，区城范围约19公顷，汇聚了汉口汇丰银行大楼、汉口横滨正金银行大楼等大量金融建筑，平和打包厂等工业建筑以及成安坊等里分建筑，集中体现了租界区金融业、工业以及居住建设的发展历程。
The Qingdao Road Historical Culture Block was formed in the second half of the 19th century, located in Hankou’s earliest concession area — the British Concession, one of China’s seven British Concessions during the modern period. The block extends from Nanjing Road in the south to Tianjin Road in the north, from Shengli Street in the west to Yanjiang Avenue in the east, covering an area of approximately 19 hectares, including a large number of financial institutions like the Hankou HSBC Building and the Hankou Yokohama Specie Bank Building, industrial structures such as Liddell Brothers & Co., Ltd., and sub-constructions like Cheng’an square. These constructions collectively present the evolution of the concession’s development in finance, industry, and residential construction.

多元的建筑细节
从整个街区的建筑群中，我们发现了形式丰富的立体形态。在建筑细节中也看到前人对于新旧元素的解构和重组。这批百年前的建造背后是不拘一格，中西融通的开放意识。是一种古为今用，西为中用，因融合而生的创新力量。
From the building group of the whole block, we found stereo pattern with rich forms, and we also saw predecessors’ deconstruction and reorganization of new and old elements. Behind these century-old constructions, there is an unconventional, Sino-Western integrated open consciousness, an innovative force born from combination, applying the ancient to the present and the West to China.
回归这次的设计，我们希望延续历史的解构姿态，以当代视角与设计语言讲述一场新的故事，是我们的立足点。
Back to this design, we wish to extend historical deconstruction, telling a story with a modern perspective and design language, which serves as our foothold.
基于此，结合品牌Queenie Rose的核心符号与产品特点，提出了“一场玫瑰舞会”的空间设计概念。
Based on this perspective and combined with Queenie Rose’s core symbol and product characteristics, we proposed a spatial design concept of “A Rose Ball”.
走入一场玫瑰舞会
Walk into a Rose Ball
在不破坏原始柱体的前提下，将八根柱体重新包裹，并以连续拱圈的形式连接起来。柱体以模仿古典建筑的线条重构，呼应着街区的独特风貌。
Without destroying the original columns, we rewrapped the eight columns and connected them in a way of continuous arches. The columns were redesigned with classical architectural lines, which correspond to the block’s unique style.
大胆的利用红与黑的色彩对比，形成热烈而不失稳重的空间色调。营造出极具艺术感的舞会氛围。
Bold contrasts of red and black were used to form a vibrant yet elegant space hue, creating a ball atmosphere full of artistic sense.
抽象的玫瑰花瓣，似飘落进空间之中，形成了局部的空高变化。正下方对应着主要的巧克力展示区域，吸引进入空间的顾客向内靠近。同时巨大的花瓣也成为了品牌形象的独特展示。
Abstract rose petals appear to fall into the space, subtly altering the height of the ceiling in certain areas. Beneath them is the main chocolate display area, attracting customers to move closer. These large petals are also the unique presentation of the brand image.
出于保护建筑的原因，最大限度的保留了原始顶面。形成了高大的室内空间感受，也加强了进入空间时产生的仪式感。同时置入被放大的花瓣形态，进一步拉大了人与产品与空间的比例关系，让人置身其中如有身处戏剧舞会的感受。
In order to preserve the building’s original ceiling, we maximized the height of the space, enhancing the sense of grandeur when entering. The oversized petals further amplified the scale, creating a dramatic relationship between people, products, and the space, making people feel like they are part of a theatrical ball.
我们对于周四的原始红砖墙面进行了最小的干预。让其自然地成为空间的主体背景。靠墙设置了就餐区与VIP区。各个区域之间没有明显的区隔，让人在其中能够更加自由的穿行与体验。现代的设计形态与历史的建筑肌理形成交叠，产生出新的感官体验。
We minimally intervened with the original red brick walls, allowing them to naturally serve as the main background of the space. We set dining and VIP areas along the walls. There are no clear separations between these areas, allowing guests to move and enjoy freely in the space. The integration of modern design and the building’s historical texture creates a new sensory experience.
室内的展台都是由象征玫瑰花瓣的几何形态演变而来。有的如一朵巨大盛放的玫瑰，有的如飘散的落花。充满雕塑感的展台被塑赋予巧克力般的丝滑的质感，和珠宝般缤纷的巧克力，共同交织出这场玫瑰舞会的优雅旋律。
The interior display stands are evolving from geometric forms symbolized rose petals. Some resemble a blooming rose, while others are like scattered petals. The sculptural display stands are endowed with a chocolate-like silky texture, weaving the elegant melody of the rose ball with jewel-like chocolate.
室内开放性的设置了巧克力展示区、制作区、就餐区、酒水区等，复合的形成了室内的功能与体验。从白天到夜晚，此地都可随时成为一场浪漫开始的起点。
The interior space is designed with open spaces for chocolate displays, production areas, dining, and drinks, forming a multifunctional experience. From day to night, the space can easily become the beginning of a romantic journey.
我们不止想打造一处主题性的空间场景。更希望通过对历史的回顾，树立大胆的设计意识，将新与旧、过去与当下，建立起一种兼具延续性与反差性的连接。以全新的体验方式重续场地曾经的活力。
We hope not just to create a thematic space, but also to establish a bold design idea by reviewing history, connecting the old and the new, the past and the present with both continuity and contrast, revitalizing the space’s former energy through this new experiential approach.
