“What I‘m really interested in is how to perceive one space in the quality of another， which is like watching someone who is watching. When objectivity is removed， a new kind of objectivity can be acquired， just as you use your vision to explore a space.”
Located on the 2nd floor of the Quanzhong Neighborhood Center， Haibo Road， Shanghai， the gym offers an ideal fitness and strength training facility for residents living in the community and surroundings. The colors of red and black tell people about the brand’s philosophy， strength， as well as professionalism. Through the floor-to-ceiling glass on the façade， one can see the vertical LED lights， which shift between red and white， allowing the gym to attract people‘s attention even at outdoors. The corrugated mirror stainless steel materials on the entrance wall has an excellent distortion mapping effect on the light， guiding people into the fitness area.
设计师将R FITNESS的SLOGAN“PEOPLE NEED SMILE，LIFE NEED FITNESS”以发光字的形式错落吊挂在空中，在特定角度才能看清，增添了空间的趣味性。
The LED luminous characters of “PEOPLE NEED SMILE， LIFE NEED FITNESS”， the slogan of the Fitness， are designed to hang at random in the air， which can only be seen clearly at a certain angle， adding fun to the space.
The red box-shaped passage connects the entrance to the fitness area. The box is composed of LED lights with different sizes and water-corrugated stainless steel mirrors. In the light and shadow reflections， the light and red color overlap and extend infinitely， full of sense of drama.
To match the LED lights， the designer uses slashed metal meshes to cover the entire space， echoing the white slashes on the ground， and thus a strong sense of movement and extension comes into being. In particular， white and red lights can be switched at random， and with background music correspondingly， it meets the needs of different types of courses.
Light and space， sometimes light shapes space， sometimes space makes light.
