This is a speciality shop that specializes in custom wedding dresses. The store is located on the ground floor of a high-rise apartment building, with a rectangular plan of 7 meters wide and 9 meters deep.

First of all, based on a series of functional requirements of a bridal shop: selecting, fitting, and tailoring, we divided the space into a main large room, a connected smaller room and a fitting room. The three spaces formed a surrounding path. Then, an L-shaped folding corridor was created on the outward side, serving as a wedding dress exhibition gallery and becoming a zigzag path between the noisy city and the relatively private fitting space. In the section, the 4.5-meter-high floor height of the store is used to set up a loft above the exhibition gallery and fitting room to supplement the space and bring about changes in the spatial experience.

A glass room carefully built with a teak frame is placed on the right side of the facade, serving as an entrance and a window for external display, forming a store image with a classic handmade temperament. Behind it is a curtain wall made of vertical glass bricks, pouring soft light into the interior. The metal vertical steel shutters of the gallery are angled to provide visitors with different interface experiences when entering and exiting, and further filter the light, creating a hazy scene in the large room like light passing through white gauze.

A series of indoor partition walls are lifted lightly, allowing the re-used teak parquet floor to be laid out, creating visual continuity. These wall surfaces are made of white plaster with stone powder added and calendered with a trowel to create a warm sheen. The mirror frames at both ends of the small room and the fitting room are the same size as the door opening in the middle, creating the illusion of symmetry and infinite space nesting.

The staircase is opposite the sofa in the large room. Its steps cantilever out from the wall, guiding visitors’ eyes upward, forming an expressive stage in the dress-
