All of Pierre Marcolini’s Chocolates are designed in Belgium’s studio and the studio constantly develops new flavors of products. In the aspect of product design, Pierre Marcolini attaches importance to appearance which can impress customers deeply. In 2020, Pierre Marcolini won the World Pastry Stars. It is a pastry brand with many fans all over the world.
Pierre Marcolini in china world mall is the first store in Beijing which is connected with the subway station. Various people pass by here every day because of the convenient location. Pierre Marcolini’s store is located in the tenant area in the center of the path. The store is designed with open counters. Issues such as the overall low height of the space and incomplete commercial lighting imposed design process constraints.
大多数高级巧克力品牌都很重视店铺的高级感，高级的氛围会让顾客难以融入店铺整体氛围。在这次设计中，基于Pierre Marcolini本人提出的“bean to bar”“bean to home”的理念，odd做出了与以往不同的店铺设计。
Most high-end chocolate brands attach great importance to the luxury sense of the store’s interior, which makes difficulties for customers to integrate into the atmosphere. This time, basing on Pierre Marcolini’s idea of “bean to bar” “bean to home”, odd has made a distinct design.
The whole store is divided into two parts, display counter and open dining area.
The counter is made of natural marble. To make it easier for customers to select products, the design of the counter focuses on the logical arrangement of products. All products are at the same height, making it easy to see at a glance. The counter displays products 360 degrees, including chocolates, macaroons, cookies, cakes and ice cream. Customers could choose various delicious desserts in the store. The function of the counter is not only for customers, but also but also for the staff. The design can minimize the movement line of staff, which staff can respond to customers’ needs in the fastest time, so as to realize the most efficient service to customers with the least staff.
In the center of the open dining area, we set a special macaroon tower with many special macaroon models hanging above. The floating macaroons are just like petals falling from the air, and they complement the macaroons tower. Dining in such a gorgeous scene is Pierre Marcolini, which is slightly different from the past.
Using green plants as the decoration of dining area, we hope that the dining area can be seen as a tiny park for customers to relax in the street, so that customers can stay away from the noise brought by downtown, and bring a relaxing mood in the tense atmosphere.
Both the display area and the dining area are decorated with copper colored wave materials, such as ribbon wrapping gifts. The appearance shows the softness and sparkle of Pierre Marcolini’s chocolate.
The overall structure of the space brings customers a light and slim feeling. It integrates the lighting of ceiling, floor, product poster and art installation. This retail design integrates with surrounding environment, and become a landmark.
We hope that the latest opened “Pierre marcolini” store in Beijing can make customers feel the happiness brought by chocolate.
