MR. WALDEN COFFEE选址于深圳南山区的万象天地商圈，这里人流密集热烈喧嚣，是洽谈聚会、逛街购物、家庭出行的理想综合类商业服务空间。针对于城市商业空间形态下WALDEN店铺，希望尽可能提供给人们更具沉浸感、更具感染力的咖啡空间，希望能通过环境的感知、影响、引导让快节奏的消费人群在最短的时间内得到最好的味觉的体验、身体的休息和情绪的放松。
MR. WALDEN COFFEE is located in the MIXC WORLDin Nanshan District, Shenzhen, where there is a constant flow of people and a lively atmosphere. It is an ideal integrated commercial service space for business meetings, gatherings, shopping, and family outings. For the WALDEN in urban commercial spaces, we aim to provide people with a more immersive and more evocativecoffee space. We hope to guide people to relax their emotions and rest their bodies through the perception, influence, and guidance of the environment, so that the fast-paced consumer crowd can experience the best taste and relaxation in the shortest possible time.
设计的初衷是打造一个具有强包容性、开放性和安全感的场所空间，在典型的快节奏的都市生活中营造一处闹中取静的庇护所，即能专注独享一杯美味的咖啡、也可逛街小憩歇歇脚，即是办公洽谈的安静场所、更是伙伴聚会下午茶的好去处。
The design concept was to create a space that is highly inclusive, open, and secure, providing a sanctuary in the typical fast-paced urban lifestyle, where one can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in peace, take a break for a stroll, or use it as a quiet place for business discussions, as well as a great spot for afternoon tea with friends.
借助场地原始的长条形空间和良好自然条件的外廊空间，设计将都市街道景观最大化引入其中, 并置入了木屋框架的元素让空间更温暖宜人，尽可能呈现出更加自然、丰富、多元化的休闲场景。
With the original long and narrow space and the outdoor gallery space with good natural conditions, the design maximizes the urban street scenery and incorporates elements of wooden house frames to make the space warmer and more comfortable. It strives to present a more natural, diverse, and diversified leisure scene.
隐于喧嚣的木屋
A Wooden Cottage Hidden from the Hustle and Bustle
设计灵感源自于亨利·戴维·梭罗在瓦尔登湖畔的木屋，通过木屋的元素将空间划分三个区域：公共接待区域、户外外廊区域、安静洽谈区域。木屋元素也将动线、座位、操作空间、陈设等完整的统筹在一起，让每个区域都有各自的围合与景致，并通过超长的意式咖啡吧台和手冲吧台将各个区域串联在一起，打造出了凝聚力与安定感并存的休闲空间体验。
The design was inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s cabin on the shores of Walden Pond, and the elements of the cabin were used to divide the space into three areas: a public reception area, an outdoor gallery area, and a quiet conversation area. The cabin elements also integrate the circulation, seating, operation space, and display items, allowing each area to have its own enclosure and scenery, and the space was unified by a super-long Italian coffee bar and a pour-over bar, creating a leisure space experience with a sense of cohesion and stability.

▼立面向户外外廊完全敞开，消除了室内外的边界感，引导行人自由进出，将舒适安定的氛围充分辐射到商业街区中。The facade is completely open to the outdoor gallery, eliminating the boundary between indoors and outdoors, guiding pedestrians to come and go freely, and fully radiating a comfortable and stable atmosphere into the commercial district. ©金伟琦
通过设计转译后的木梁和坡屋顶的空间形态，营造出一种包裹感的环境气场，传达着像木屋一样原始的庇护感，木屋的亲和力与建筑的构造感让人惊喜之余又有似曾相识的熟悉感，这里将木屋、咖啡、书、植物等元素自然的调和在一起，形成了更容易让人亲近并沉浸其中的环境感。
Through the spatial forms of the designed wooden beams and pitched roof, a sense of enveloping environment is created, conveying a sense of primal shelter like a wooden house. The warmth of the wooden house and the constructive sense of the building are surprising and familiar at the same time, creating an environment where cabin, coffee, books, and plants are naturally combined, making it easier for people to approach and immerse themselves in the space.

大面积通透的木龙骨玻璃幕墙利用并放大了场地原有的景色，为室内带了极好的采光与视线，模糊了室内外的界限感也使原本狭长的室内空间得到释放和延伸，外围热烈的都市商业气息与内部木屋咖啡场景形成互补，两者关联而彼此衬托。
The large-scale wood keel glass curtain wall utilizes and amplifies the original scenery of the site, bringing excellent lighting and views into the interior. It blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, releasing and extending the narrow indoor space, and complementing the lively urban commercial atmosphere with the interior wooden coffee scene, creating a linkage and mutual enhancement between the two.

在密集的商业空间中人们在相对短的时间内会穿梭于数个品牌主题场景之间，这无疑会造成一定的感官疲劳，空间在品牌传达途径中承载着尤为重要的作用，我们希望通过环境感的设计，用环境的力量带给人一种直击内心的好奇与向往，让人停留其中并以最短的时间感知到品牌所能提供的产品和场景，让人快速置身于一个似曾相识的、一种极具吸引力的环境中不知不觉的慢下脚步。
In a densely populated commercial space, people will move between several brand themed scenes in a relatively short period of time, which undoubtedly causes a certain degree of sensory fatigue. The space plays an especially important role in conveying the brand, and we hope to use the power of the environment to create a sense of curiosity and yearning that strikes to the heart, so that people can stay there and perceive the products and scenes provided by the brand in the shortest possible time, and make them feel as if they are in a familiar and highly attractive environment without realizing it, slowing down their pace.

在商业空间中创造合理的反差感
Create a Reasonable Contrast in Commercial Spaces
在外廊空间中以WALDEN的木屋作为设计原型，转译后的木屋框架置入场地，抽象的“屋”形态让空间尺度更亲近，也更具有识别性和体验感，让空间边界、家具、动线形成更有趣的关系。
The WALDEN cabin was used as a design prototype in the outdoor gallery space, and the designed wooden cabin framework is placed into the site, and the abstracted ‘house’ form makes the spatial scale more intimate, more recognizable, and more experiential, and creating more interesting relationships between the space boundaries, furniture, and circulation.

在现代的商业建筑体量中置入朴实、自然、松弛又极具质感的木屋，创造出一种强烈的反差感：快速通过的外廊内出现了一块可停留的、慢节奏的、具有安定感的领域。我们希望制造这种设计上的反差感能为商业空间带来更多的价值与活力，希望每个独立的商业空间能尽量承担他应有的社会价值并可持续的发展下去。
Incorporating simple, natural, relaxed, and highly textured wooden structures into modern commercial buildings creates a strong contrast: Within a fast-passing exterior gallery, an area emerges that invites lingering, with a slow rhythm and a sense of stability. We hope that creating this design contrast will bring more value and vitality to commercial spaces, and that each individual commercial space can fulfill its social value and sustainably develop.

商业空间的发展应该在各品牌业态定位彼此协调统一的前提下，尽可能提供多样化的感官体验，这无疑是矛盾而没有明确边界的观点，也是商业空间设计最具创意魅力的原因之一。我们希望挖掘品牌的内核加以提升并转译为空间逻辑，再结合场地的条件适配，在原有商业气质基础上创造突破，而非毫无逻辑的创意拼贴与堆叠。
The development of commercial spaces should provide diverse sensory experiences under the premise of coordinating the brand positioning of various business formats, which is undoubtedly a contradictory and unclear viewpoint, but is also one of the most creative and charming reasons for commercial space design. We hope to uncover the core of the brand and enhance it, translating it into spatial logic, and then combining it with the site conditions to create a breakthrough based on the original commercial atmosphere, rather than creative collage and stacking without logic.

材料间的对话营造环境感
The dialogue between materials creates an atmosphere.
WALDEN设计希望尽力摒弃工业化感官的材料，尽可能的还原材料的原始性和手作感，如果从粗糙原始到平整精致是一种递升的关系，我们想探索的则是材料的下限，在看似粗旷的环境中营造出来一份独有的精致感。
Design of WALDEN aims to eliminate the industrialized sensory materials as much as possible and restore the originality and handmade feel of the materials.If the transition from rough and primitive to smooth and refined is an ascending relationship, we want to explore the lower limit of materials and create a unique sense of refinement in a seemingly rough environment.

▼大面积的留白衬托出富有质感的墙面、书架和地面，木屋与书架相结合的设计让空间更整体统一。Large areas of white space accentuate the textured walls, bookshelves, and floors, while the combination of the log cabin and the bookshelves makes the space more cohesive and unified. ©金伟琦
深色富有质感的天然木材、棕色的皮质、朴拙的瓦片、精致的器物、柔软的布艺沙发、微黄的植物、厚重丰富的书籍……这些性格各不相同的材料在空间中形成了对话，当光作为最后的点缀撒入空间时，空间、材料、咖啡的香气、渗出的音乐被统筹在一起，呈现出了我们一直所希望的独有的舒适安定的环境感。
Dark, textured natural wood, brown leather, rustic tiles, delicate objects, soft upholstered sofas, yellow plants, thick and rich books… These materials with distinct personalities form a dialogue in the space. When light is added as the final touch, the space, materials, coffee aroma, and gently diffusing music are all coordinated, presenting the unique and comfortable atmosphere we have always hoped for.

外廊空间中的木屋框架改变了原有半开放通道空间单一冷清的气息，木质的触感、天幕的柔软、不加修饰的植物环绕在木屋四周创造了新的边界感，即是室内空间的延伸也重新赋予了外廊自然放松的氛围，提供了更多安定的停留空间，可折叠天幕营造了宜人的空间尺度，也满足了外廊座位遮雨遮阳的需求。
The wooden frame structure in the gallery changes the single and cold atmosphere of the original semi-open passageway,The tactile quality of wood, the softness of the canopy, and the unadorned plants surrounding the log cabin create a new sense of boundary. It is an extension of the indoor space and re-creates a natural and relaxed atmosphere for the outdoor corridor, providing more stable resting spaces. The foldable canopy creates a pleasant spatial scale and meets the needs of shade and rain protection for the outdoor seating area.

设计倡导的是极致、简单而轻松的思路，设计过程中不断思考的是减法与整合，尽量用统一简单的逻辑统筹，例如将天幕与屋顶相结合，壁灯与木柱的整合等等。
The design advocates an approach of ultimate simplicity, ease, and minimalism. What is constantly considered throughout the design process is subtraction and integration, with an effort to use a unified and simple logic to coordinate, such as combining the canopy and roof, integrating wall lamps with wooden columns, and so on.

可循环材料的使用让空间更具温度与质感，这是现代新型装饰材料所难以达到的，老建筑拆除后遗留下的手工瓦片经过裁切后重新拼贴呈现出时间的美感，旧的煤油灯经过翻新处理改造后焕发新生，这些丰富的富有耐心的处理让空间更具烟火气息。
The use of recyclable materials makes the space more warm and textured, which is difficult for modern new decorative materials to achieve. The handmade tiles left behind after the demolition of an old building are cut and rearranged to reveal the beauty of time. The old kerosene lamp is renovated and revitalized, and these rich and patient treatments make the space more full of human warmth.
