场地条件 Site Conditions
大鹅咖啡位于西安市雁塔区原曲江宾馆西南角区域，曲江宾馆以园林式酒店为特色，内部有多处人工湖景观，常有大鹅出没，这也是项目取名大鹅咖啡的原因。
Goose Coffee is located in the southwest corner of the former Qujiang Hotel complex in Yanta District, Xi’an. Characterized as a garden-style hotel, Qujiang Hotel features multiple artificial lakes where geese are frequently observed – hence the café’s name.
咖啡馆所在基地，原本是一个面积约6平方米的岗亭，服务于宾馆的现任运营方，岗亭南侧紧邻雁展路人行步道，西侧是一处围墙，围墙之外是相邻住宅区。
The café occupies a site originally functioning as a 6m² gate house serving the hotel’s current management. The structure directly abuts the Yanzhan Road pedestrian walkway to the south, with a perimeter wall to its west separating the property from an adjacent residential quarter.
项目距离大唐不夜城、大唐芙蓉园约2公里，虽地处西安文化旅游核心区域，但是周边以住宅区为主，且地处原宾馆内部，有一定封闭性，整体呈现出单一模式的街道面貌，未能形成良好的商业氛围和公共开放性。
The project is situated approximately 2 kilometers from key cultural attractions including the Great Tang All Day Mall and Tang Paradise. Despite its location within Xi’an cultural tourism nucleus, the immediate vicinity is predominantly residential. Occupying the former hotel’s interior space, the site exhibits an enclosed character with uniform streetscape patterns, having failed to develop robust commercial vibrancy or public openness.

H Design Studio汤鑫受到业主城融委托，希望将自用的岗亭改造为对外开放的咖啡馆，既是一次商业策略向便民社区服务转型的尝试，又能以点带面的激发微更新，唤醒城市潜力，实现以“民生与品质”为核心的企业理念。
Commissioned by property owner Chengrong Group, H Design Studio’s principal designer Tang Xin aims to transform the gate house into a publicly accessible café. This project represents both:A strategic shift from proprietary facilities to community-oriented services；A micro-scale urban intervention designed to catalyze district-wide renewal and reactivate latent urban potential.

两个盒子的嵌套逻辑 Two boxes
通过现场勘察，我们发现原本的岗亭并不具备改造条件，只能将其拆除，进行重建，但是建造范围被约束在原岗亭6平米范围内，高度也有限制。
“Through on-site investigation, we confirmed the original kiosk cannot be renovated and must be demolished for reconstruction. The rebuilt structure is strictly confined to the original 6m² footprint with mandated height restrictions.”
不过，令人惊喜的是，岗亭一侧，与之相对，有一片地势略高、栽种树木的开阔草地，同属可改造范围。于是，设计的核心任务聚焦在两点：一是极限6平米的建造，二是将一处闲置的绿地改造为咖啡馆的“配套公园”，供客人停留和休憩。
“Surprisingly, opposite the gate house, there exists a slightly elevated open grassland with trees, also within the modifiable scope. Thus, the core design mission focuses on two objectives: constructing within an extreme 6m² limit, and converting idle green space into a café ‘satellite park’ for guest stay and recreation.”

面对极小的建筑尺寸，我们运用了嵌套盒子的构筑方式来扩张体量。首先，在原6平米基地范围内，紧邻西侧围墙，通过钢结构建构起一个小盒子，承载咖啡的制作、收银、收纳储物等一系列功能。
“Confronted with an extremely compact building scale, we employed a nested box configuration to expand the volume. First, within the original 6m² site, a small steel-framed structure was erected adjacent to the western boundary wall. This unit houses all café functions: beverage preparation, point-of-sale operations, and storage.”
第二个盒子，则是在小盒子的外部，围合出一个半开放的结构，两个立面沿两侧街道完全打开，小盒子被嵌入其中，大盒子的空余区域则形成一处灰空间，营造出小盒子向外延伸，大盒子向内退让的双重趣味。
The second volume wraps around the smaller structure to form a semi-open framework. With two facades fully opened to the adjacent streets, the small box is embedded within it. The residual space of the larger volume creates a transitional grey zone, generating dual spatial dynamics: the inner box extending outward and the outer volume receding inward.”

在嵌套盒子的逻辑之外，设计在建筑的顶面、地面和北侧面增加了片墙，产生比例的协调和体块搭接的平衡感，如此，建筑的三个面向也各有特色：打开的临街西南立面延伸至人行步道，有着接纳、开放之姿；正东侧创造出建筑内部与外部的近人尺度感；站在内部公园看向建筑东北侧，则有着“亭”的意象，增添庇护感，与不远处的中式凉亭遥相呼应。
“Beyond the nested box logic, planar walls are added to the roof, ground, and north facade to achieve proportional harmony and balanced volumetric articulation. Thus, each of the building’s three orientations develops distinct characteristics: the street-facing southwest elevation opens fully to the pedestrian walkway with an inclusive gesture; the eastern side fosters human-scale interaction between interior and exterior; while the northeast elevation, viewed from the internal park, evokes a ‘pavilion’ motif, imparting sheltering qualities that resonate with a nearby Chinese-style pavilion.”

△公园中的中式凉亭
咖啡馆的南面和东面，各开了一扇横窗，以便室内的工作人员与外部构成视线上的交互，及时照顾到灰空间下、公园客座区的客人，入户门隐藏在建筑北侧，被树木所掩盖，茂盛的树木也成为建筑天然的屏障。
“Horizontal windows are pierced through the café’s southern and eastern facades to establish visual connections between interior staff and exterior patrons. This allows timely service to guests seated in the park area beneath the transitional grey zone. The entry door is concealed within the northern facade, subsumed beneath tree cover where lush foliage forms an organic screen for the structure.”
建筑外立面选用了米黄色水洗石，室内面材使用了石头并覆以朱红色漆面，从材质到颜色，我们希望建筑能够整体融入城市肌理之中，在此基础上，有着体块建构的存在感和一丝跳脱的意味。
“The building’s exterior façade employs beige exposed-aggregate concrete, while interior surfaces feature stone cladding finished with cinnabar-red lacquer. Through this material and chromatic strategy, the architecture achieves assimilation into the urban fabric, yet simultaneously asserts volumetric potency through tectonic articulation with a subtle dissonant flourish.”

口袋公园 Pocket garden
开阔的林地提供了城市中难得的自然场域，对于公园的改造，设计秉承着“弱介入”的原则，将原本宾馆内留下来的建筑废料改作石材踏步，铺装形成蜿蜒曲折的小径，沿着小径，摆放了一些户外桌椅，与树木和点缀的植物交织，成为一处口袋公园，为人们提供了舒适宜人的漫步和休息场地。
“The expansive woodland offers a rare natural enclave within the urban context. For the park’s redesign, the ‘light-touch intervention’ principle guides the transformation of residual construction debris from the former hotel into stone treads. These form a serpentine pathway flanked by outdoor furnishings interwoven with existing trees and curated plantings, creating a pocket park that provides an amenity-rich environment for strolling and repose.”
△遗留的建筑废料被铺装成石阶
林地高点，有一个十分古朴的中式凉亭，我们完整的将其保留，未做任何修饰，仅将几组户外家具置入其中，传统人文意趣与当代生活方式的古今对话在此发生，产生诗意的关联。
“At the woodland’s vantage point, a time-honored Chinese pavilion stands preserved in its entirety without alteration. Merely discreetly placed outdoor furnishings within its structure catalyze a dialogue between traditional cultural sensibilities and contemporary living—forging a poetic nexus where past and present converge.”
建成后大鹅咖啡馆，迅速成为西安热门咖啡打卡地，也为周边居民提供了休憩和停留的场所。极限6平米岗亭的改建，既是一个商业空间、一处充满自然疗愈的口袋公园，又作为社区的“缓冲地”承载了日常与公共意义，传递城市温度。
“Following its completion, Goose Café rapidly emerged as Xi’an’s premier coffee destination while providing adjacent residents with respite and social congregation space. The adaptive reuse of a 6㎡ micro-scale gate house concurrently functions as: a commercial venue; a nature-therapeutic pocket park; and a community ‘buffer zone’ embodying quotidian and communal significance—collectively conveying the ethos of humane urbanism.”
